Mötley Crüe are proud to announce the Saints of Los Angeles 2009 Winter Tour, just hours before headlining a special one off performance at the historic Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. The Live Nation produced tour will feature special guests Hinder, Theory of a Deadman and The Last Vegas. The tour kicks off February 2nd in San Diego, CA with 29 shows throughout North America, including a date at Madison Square Garden, with the final stop in Portland, ME. Tickets go on sale beginning November 21st at www.livenation.com and www.motley.com.

American Express Card members will have access to pre-sale tickets beginning Friday, November 14 at 5pm local time through Thursday, November 20 at 10pm local time via www.motley.com.

DATE: come precedentemente annunciato la tredicesima edizione del festival si svolgerà il 27 e 28 Giugno 2009.

LOCATION: dopo anni di attesa si torna in quella che da più parti è sempre stata considerata la location ideale per il GOM: lo STADIO BRIANTEO di MONZA !!! Ebbene si, quest'anno grazie alla preziosa collaborazione del Comune di Monza e del Monza Calcio che ringraziamo sentitamente, abbiamo di nuovo a disposizione lo Stadio Brianteo per il nostro amato festival.

CONCEPT: Quest'anno torneremo alla formula dei due giorni, ma ci sarà una grossa novità. Avremo infatti due palchi presenti nella location dello show, ma non un main stage e un second stage, bensì un Double Main Mega Stage !!! Ovverosia due Main Stage delle stesse dimensioni e affiancati, sui quali le bands si esibiranno alternativamente. Ciò significa che avremo ben 4 headliner (2 al giorno), uno su ogni palco, entrambi i giorni. I minuti a disposizione di ogni band saranno gli stessi su entrambi i palchi.
I concerti inizieranno alle 10.45 di mattina e finiranno alle 00.30, sia il 27 che il 28 Giugno, ogni palco ospiterà 6 bands, per un totale di 12 bands al giorno. Una vera e propria maratona metallica che riunirà il meglio del metal mondiale in un unico grande festival!

BILL: un festival che vanta headliner del calibro di Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Guns n' Roses , Slayer e Ozzy Osbourne, poteva farsi mancare il meglio del metal mondiale? La risposta è no, e quindi ecco i primi nomi confermati:

Sabato 27 Giugno

Headliner di questa giornata sul L-Stage saranno i leggendari HEAVEN & HELL nella loro formazione Black Sabbath Dio Era, ovvero Ronnie James Dio alla voce, Toni Iommi alla chitarra, Geezer Butler al basso e Vinnie Appice alla batteria!
La seconda e terza posizione del L-Stage sono in via di conferma e i nomi in lizza sono veramente da leccarsi i baffi.
Nella quarta posizione troveremo gli olandesi EPICA, che dopo le due grandi date di Novembre, tornano nel nostro paese e per la prima volta al GOM
Subito prima di loro sarà la volta di una leggenda: signore e signori, dal Canada, VOIVOD !!! E per l'occasione festeggeremo il rientro di Blackie in formazione! Ebbene si, la formazione comprenderà Blackie, Snake, Away e il nuovo arrivato Martyr!
L'opening sarà invece annunciato a breve

E veniamo al R-Stage che vedrà protagonisti nella veste di headliner The Saints Of Los Angeles, proprio loro: MOTLEY CRUE ! Vince, Nikki, Tommy e Mick tornano al Gods e questa volta guidano il carrozzone del Cruefest che però sarà totalmente differente a quello visto in America.
Infatti, l'altra band già confermata sul Cruefest Stage, sono gli attesissimi TESLA ! Una band imperdibile, Jeff Keith e soci per la prima volta sul palco del Gods Of Metal! Da paura !
Le altre bands sono in via di conferma e saranno annunciate a breve

Domenica 28 Giugno

Headliner della seconda giornata sul L- Stage saranno i Kings Of Prog, con il nuovo album, DREAM THEATER ! E chissà questa volta che sorpresa ci riserveranno, dopo che la volta scorsa hanno eseguito per intero Images And Words.
Immediatamente prima di loro, tornano a grande richiesta i Bardi di Krefeld, ovverosia BLIND GUARDIAN ! Una doppietta da brivido, niente da dire.
Terza posizione per la bella TARJA, che con la sua carriera solista prosegue in grande stile la sua avventura, dopo la fuoriuscita dai Nightwish. Anche per TARJA si tratta della prima volta al GOM
E prima della singer finlandese sarà la volta dell'asso della sei corde, un virtuoso al GOM, amici: mr. PAUL GILBERT !!! Il celebre chitarrista dei Mr.Big arriva sul palco del festival per inondarci di note.
Poteva mancare una leggenda su questo stage? No, non poteva. E quindi: CYNIC !!! Paul Masvidal & co. tornano in Italia dopo la meravigliosa esibizione di supporto agli Opeth nella data milanese dello scorso Dicembre.
L'opening di questo stage verrà annunciato a breve.

La rivelazione del 2008, la band più controversa del pianeta, ma indiscutibilmente la più amata del momento sarà headliner del R-Stage e chiuderà il festival domenica 28 Giugno. Da Des Moines, Iowa: SLIPKNOT !!!!
Seconda posizione su questo stage per la band che al Gods 2008 ha ricevuto un'accoglienza a dir poco trionfale. A grande richiesta tornano i leggendari CARCASS !!
Terza e quarta posizione in via di conferma, mentre per la quinta avremo l'onore di accogliere, per la prima volta al GOM, Barney e i suoi NAPALM DEATH !

The first Rock on the Range was held on May 19, 2007. The sold-out festival ran all day, beginning around noon and ending after 11:00 p.m. The second festival was a two-day event held on the weekend of May 17-18, 2008. This show had the very first STONE TEMPLE PILOTS performance in seven years, ending the band's hiatus.

The festival usually draws around 35,000 fans onto the Columbus Crew Stadium grounds. Two stages are set up: The main stage is inside the stadium at one end of the soccer field, and the second stage is in the parking lot just outside the stadium. The typical ticket price in the past has been $50-65 per day, depending on whether attendees want field access or not.
